2019 ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Scholarship recipients will be notified not later than June 2019.  Payments of scholarship awards will be made in August 2019 and when proof of college enrollment is received.

Completed Scholarship applications will be accepted through March 30, 2019.  The packet must be received by this date, not post-marked by this date.

There will be no exceptions to this deadline.  The application must be typed and signed.

The Boswell Academic Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior who will enroll for the first time in a four year U.S. located accredited College or University. Scholarship awards are based on three criteria:

  • Academic Achievement

  • Leadership

  • Community Service

Payment of scholarship awards shall be made payable to the recipient and the institution where the recipient has provided proof of enrollment. The scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, supplies and other fees. The recipient must be a full time student.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a citizen/legal permanent resident of the United States

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 or at least a 3.5 on a scale of 5.0, verified by a High School transcript

  • Must demonstrate Leadership abilities through participation in Community Service, Extracurricular or other activities

  • Must complete and submit all required forms:  typed student application, high school transcript, S.A.T. and/or A.C.T. scores, 500 word essay entitled “Why I Believe that Community Service is Important” and two letters of recommendation outlining the student’s leadership activities and community service by the deadline date.
