The Boswell Academic Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior in the class of 2025 who will enroll for the first time in a four-year accredited U.S. college or university. Scholarship awards are based on three primary criteria:

• Academic Achievement

• Leadership

• Community Service

The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s institution upon receipt of proof of enrollment. The funds may be applied toward tuition, books, supplies, and other fees. To maintain eligibility, the recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0  on a scale of 4.0 or at least a 3.5 on a scale of 5.0 as verified by a high school transcript.

• Must demonstrate leadership abilities through involvement in community service, extracurricular activities, or other relevant experiences.

• The applicant must submit an essay titled “Why I Believe that Community Service is Important.” The essay should be typewritten, with a word count between 250 and 500 words.
  The applicant’s high school must email an official transcript to fbefscholarship@gmail.com by April 13, 2025. The student's name must be included in the email subject line.

• The applicant must submit two (2) letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a high school counselor, teacher, or community leader. Each letter must include the recommender’s contact information, including their name, title, address, email, and primary phone number.

• A graduation photo or a professional photo is required, with a graduation photo preferred. Selfies will not be accepted.
  The application must be signed electronically by both the student and their parent/guardian. Additionally, a phone number and email address for both the student and parent/guardian must be provided.
